Draft Resolution for vote by the Alberta Motorsports Association (AMSA) general membership at its 2016 Annual General Meeting
AMSA was incorporated in January 2013 using a generic template of bylaws issued by Service Alberta.
Some bylaws in the template are not applicable, some are not being rigorously followed in AMSA operations and activities, and some AMSA activities and issues are not covered.
AMSA has essentially been operating under an assumed ‘working draft’ of bylaws. The working draft is in some places a collection of material not directed specifically to AMSA, not well organized, incomplete (many blank spaces), and often repetitious in different areas and sometimes contradictory.
Throughout the 2015-2016 term, AMSA has been organizing material in the working draft and the generic template for consistency and completeness. This process is nearly complete (as of April 30, 2016). The document is available on the AMSA website for review by members. Comments can be made and modifications proposed for a limited time prior to the 2016 Annual General Meeting.
It is moved that AMSA adopt the revised bylaws, as written in document, AMSA_bylawsWorkingDoc21 (version 2.1), and that these bylaws be registered with Service Alberta as the official bylaws of AMSA.
